This exhibition highlights the diverse and talented artisans who have worked in the region and explores the connection between the area’s strong history of decorative arts and present-day design trends.
Contemporary artists include weaver Patricia Burling (Monroe), glass artists Dylan Cotton and Christopher DeMott, (Fairfield), basket weaver Kari Lonning (Ridgefield), jeweler Michael Michaud (Fairfield), textile artist Ruben Marroquin (Bridgeport), woodworker Thomas Throop (New Canaan), ceramist Frances Palmer (Weston), woodworker Edward Pirnik-Mauriz (Fairfield), quilter Denyse Schmidt (Bridgeport), and weaver Marnie Smith (Fairfield).
